How to get the most out of your Spare Soles FAQ

Thank you for your interest. You will be so happy to have these little slippers in your purse, car or even pocket. Below are some Frequently Asked Questions.

1. How are my slippers supposed to fit?

1. Remember your Spare Soles are compact slippers. They are not regular rigid shoes. Spare Soles are meant to fit like a sock (snug). So if you see the shape of your toes through the upper material- it is OK. Spare Soles are the smallest ballerina flats that fit anywhere and in order to do that they are not rigid.
2. Also, check to make sure you have the right slipper on the right foot and the left slipper on the left foot. There is a sewn-in tag in each slipper that designates the right and left slipper.

2. What is the elastic strap in the right slipper for?

You will notice that your shoes come rolled up and secured by the elastic strap in the right slipper. This elastic strap maintains the compact shape of the slipper. When you are wearing the shoes simply tuck the strap into the back of the shoe. You will hardly notice it is there! When you are done using your Spare Soles place them sole to sole and roll from the top down and loop the restraining strap around. This will help keep them rolled and compact. If it bothers you or breaks go ahead and cut it out. Your shoes will still roll or fold in half without the strap.

3. Can I re-use my Spare Soles?

Absolutely! Spare Soles are meant to be re-used over and over again. The sole does a good job of not holding on to too much dirt. When you are done using your shoes for the day/evening fold or roll them up sole to sole and put them back in the purse. If you notice that your shoes are getting very worn from frequent use come back and get a new pair. That’s why Spare Soles are priced so affordably.

4. Can I wash my Spare Soles?

Spare Soles are washable. Turn them inside out and wash them gentle cycle in the washing machine and lay flat to dry.

5. Can I go through airport security with these?

Yes, you should be able to go through airport security. But remember that it is a personal judgment call by the person who screens you.

6. Can I wear my Spare Soles all day?

You could, but remember that these slippers are designed as a back-up solution to sore feet. They will wear out sooner than a regular pair of shoes and do not have the support needed for all day use.

7. Can Spare Soles be worn outdoors?

Yes, you can wear them outdoors. They have a waterproof sole that will prevent water from going through the sole.

8. What size should I get if I am a half size?

We recommend that half sizes go up a size- such as 8.5 go up to the 9-10. It also depends on the width of your foot. If you have narrow 8.5 feet you can stay at the 7-8. if you tend to have wider feet go up the to the next size.
